The Internet plays a great part in extending efforts in reaching out to your market. Social networking such as Facebook, Multiply, Twitter and Friendster have helped a lot some businesses in tapping its target market.

Well, I still believe that hardcopy ads such as newspapers, magazines and billboards are the best forms of showing to your target market your products and services. It is a nice thing that people will have something that they can hold on to, keep, put into their bags, paste into their walls, etc. In this case, people will surely remember your endorsements.

I agree into this. Print ads are surely one of the oldest and effective forms of marketing. However, with the existence of internet, and social networking such as those mentioned earlier, why not venture into something like these also. There are many testimonials and first-hand accounts that their facebook and twitter accounts have become the driving tools in marketing their businesses.

Yes, this is very true. I can remember that a friend of mine was able to gain lots of clients for her apparel business because of Facebook and Multiply.
grin

Yeah, that’s good that your friend out there really maximized the power of internet social networking to expand her business.  I also know lots of people who are now concentrating more in their marketing at the Internet level…hehehe.  Cyberworld really does wonders, right?

Just an FYI about Twitter used as tool for marketing. Got this from the website http://blog.hubspot.com, and it says:

“If you are a retailer or anyone who often has special offers, you can use Twitter to announce these deals instantly to a large audience.  You know those commercials from Southwest Airlines about that «Ding» application you could download and would then alert you about specials on flights?  Well, Twitter can be used as a kind of free version of that.  Dell and Woot have done just this type of marketing, with a lot of success.”

Whatever the medium, it still boils down to creativity and good marketing. Even if you have the most strategic venue for the promotion of your products, if your marketing tool is designed with lack of drive—- then, still it forfeits the purpose of effective advertising.

Suppliers should hire a group of creative minds who can best conceptualize the promotion and marketing of their products.

I agree with you. It always amaze me how simple ideas and concepts can give such a bang to the market.

Social networking is the grouping of individuals into specific group, so everyone’s views are very important.

Social networking is the grouping of individuals into specific groups, like small rural communities or a neighborhood subdivision, if you will.
