Richard Weissman joins SupplierEvaluations

SupplierEvaluations.com, B2B community of buying professionals today announced new addition to its team. Richard Weissman will take on SupplierEvaluations blog and content editorial duties as Executive Editor.

Richard has a long and distinguished career in the field  of purchasing and supply chain management. Currently Assistant Professor with Endicott College, Richard teaches management courses for the School of Business and the Van Loan Graduate School. Richard also is a Director of Corporate Education at Endicott’s management development and executive education institute. A practitioner turned educator, Richard has more than twenty-five years of experience in all facets of procurement and supply chain management. 

He has held positions with large business units of Fortune 500 companies such as Varian Semiconductor, medium sized contract manufacturing companies, small venture backed Internet startup firms, and third-party procurement, consulting, and strategic sourcing firms. Weissman holds an MS in Management from Lesley University and a BA in Economics from Rutgers University. He serves on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of Northeast Massachusetts, the Creative Economy Association of the North Shore and the Institute for Supply Management’s Materials Management Group. He is past president of the Purchasing Management Association of Boston and a recipient of the Harry J. Graham Memorial Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Association. He is a regular contributor to Purchasing Magazine and other industry publications.
