Toyota’s demand planning in Venezuela

In yet another revolutionary twist Hugo Chavez ordered Toyota to produce more of Land Cruiser 70, the model that was discontinued in 2007, or face being expelled from the country with company plants expropriated. According to CNN the company was also ordered to share the technology with Venezuelans. The story sounds only too familiar.

Here are two great sites I’d like to call your attention to. Manufacturing is Cool is a fabulous site maintained by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Not only is it a great site with a lot of interesting information for us non-kids, but it is an interesting site for children as well.
